Mother's day
Last week I was looking at Gabriele Pennacchioli's blog (amazing stuff there if some of you haven't gone you have to check it out) and was reading the comments people were leaving. By chance I came across a name I hadn't seen before and went to his blog.
The persone I'm talking about is Victor Ens. If you are a fan of great animation you HAVE to go visit his blog or his website. I was so inspired looking at his work. Beautifully timed animation and his draftsmenship is simply stunning.
I did a small animation for my mom for mother's day and I have to say that Victors stuff was what I looked at the whole time I was animating. Thank you for the inspiration Victor!!! ^^ I hope you guys enjoy the clip, obviously I still have so far to go, but I'm slowly picking at getting better. Comments and Critiques are most welcome ^^.

A sudden urge
Unfortunately I'm not as eloquent a writer as some of my fellow bloggers. So you simply have to picture it written better then I could :) .
I'm not sure if any of you ever have this experience. Let me explain. Me and a few friends got to go drawing in the mornings for about 2 weeks. We were in between jobs as you may say and it was great just to get out and sketch together. Then about a week and a half ago I got this sudden urge that I simply had to go out and sketch. I had just bought a pen that James Robertson at "the iron scythe" had mentioned (sign pen by pentel -> THANK YOU JAMES!!!) and I wanted to try it out right away.
So I went to one of the malls here and sat down to draw. I don't even know how to explain the feeling that came over me, but it felt like everything around me didn't matter and it also didn't matter weather or not I was making pretty drawings. It was almost as if I was surrounded by this bubble and let all these observations wash over me. I had the most wonderful time and have made a point to go out more since then.
There is definately something to be said about drawing with other people. You get inspired by the group and you'll sometimes get helpful hints or critiques. Yet there is something magical when it is only you and your sketchbook and you let the whole world wash over you.
My work is nothing ground breaking or special, but I thought I would share some of it with you.
Critiques and comments are always welcome. So without further ado, I humbly present

Sketching
Just wanted to update the blog a little bit with some facial sketches I've been doing. It's more a compolation of sketches from the past month. Haven't been able to do as much drawing recently as I'd like, since work has been very busy. Hopefully I'll get to go out tomorrow and do some drawing. The weather has been simply amazing and it would be nice to put two beautiful things together into one day.

Berlin January 2006 Part 3
Hello all. Here are a few more pictures from Berlin. After today's post I'm hoping they will all be on here.
Life has been very busy lately. I don't quite have 2 jobs at the moment...but definately feel like it. A friend of mine mentioned to me last spring that during school she was able to work just fine with maybe getting 2 hours of sleep or less. (not for a long period of time, but we all know about deadlines). She was telling me that that's no longer possible, or at least her body is telling her so. She concluded that we are getting old. LOL ^^ She's probably right.
